2011 News...

Landon set a school record for highest scoring JV basketball player in East High history (309 points) in his Sophomore year.  We’re excited about seeing what he can accomplish this year! He trained hard over the summer in order to run his first marathon in August, and his efforts paid off with a second place win for his age group. He has been very busy this past year not only with athletics but also with his job at Noodles & Company, where he is learning valuable work ethics as well as a bit of cash. Besides all of this he maintains a very active teenage social life and every once in a while even does some school work. We love you, kid!

2010 News...

Landon is driving.

That’s probably all that needs to be said but besides obtaining his driver’s license he is also playing very competitive basketball for the East High team and maintaining Honor Roll grades. What a truly fine young man this kid is turning out to be. We couldn’t be more proud of him.

2009 News...

Landon started High School this year. It’s been a huge transition from his small parochial school to an enormous public high school but he’s handled it wonderfully. He is enrolled in honors level classes and is maintaining an A average so far.  He earned his boating license this past summer and enjoyed taking his friends out on the lake. He is still an avid basketball player and is proud to be a part of the East High team. He follows NCAA Basketball diligently and won, for the fourth year, the pool at Bob’s office last year. There’s talk of banning  him from participation this year in order to give others a chance!

2008 News..

Landon is in his final year of middle school. We’re already feeling slightly sad about saying good-bye to the school where he’s spent so many good years. Last spring he received a couple of notable academic awards, including the 7th Grade Highest Math Award  and special recognition for his creation of an original book of poetry.  Over the summer his Little League baseball team took 2nd place in the City Championship. This autumn he kept in shape through running with the Cross Country team and as winter approached he took on the role of head cheerleader for the Girl’s Volleyball team, even organizing a fan bus trip to cheer them on for their championship game.  He is smart, funny and handsome…..just about perfect.

2007 News...

Landon has been discovered by the girls! Every weekend it’s parties...dances...movies. In his spare time he continues to keep up his good grades and compete on his school’s basketball and volleyball teams, as well as playing Little League baseball during the summer. Zannah worked with his 7th grade classroom in creating a project for the annual school auction and enjoyed seeing the creative side of her son and his classmates.

These transitional  years can be difficult and so far Landon is handling them with grace and ease. Hurray!

2006 News...

Landon is a smart kid who has developed a true love of learning that is positively contagious. What a joy it is to have meaningful conversations about weighty topics with your own child! He played Little League again this summer and his team, the "Yankees", exhibited great teamwork and won the city championship. In addition to this team accomplishment Landon won seven individual academic awards in the 2005-2006 school year. Just for frosting on the cake he and several friends won third place for their singing performance in the school talent contest! Once again, we can’t imagine that it would be possible to be more proud of this kid.
