2011 News...
Kendra
had another
super-busy year. She was active in many extracurricular activities
including band, drama club, cheerleading, Girl Scouts, basketball and
volleyball. Perhaps most influential, again, was 4-H. What a great
organization! Kendra and Benson took 2nd in State AGAIN in Dog Obedience
and will be training at an advanced level this year. Kendra also had her
photograph selected as one of two at the county 4-H level to move on
to the State level. Alas, she’s becoming more & more interested in
fashion and hairstyles and popularity and we’re bracing ourselves for
the years to come.

2010 News...
Kendra had an
absolutely phenomenal first year in 4-H. She and our beagle mix, Benson,
competed in obedience and won Grand Champion at the county level and
Second Place at State! In 2011 she will again be working with Benson at
the next level of obedience competition but also will be showing her
rabbit (not yet acquired!) at the county fair. Besides 4-H Kendra is
thriving in school and is active in Girl Scouting as well as playing the
flute in band. It’s been a great year

2009 News...
Kendra
celebrated her First Holy Communion in 2009. She and her classmates were
beautiful in their white dresses. She’s singing with the Church Choir
this year and making great strides in her 3rd grade class work. Her
entrepreneurial spirit shone through with the development of her own
little business :
Kendra’s Jewelry Kreations (she sold $83 worth of hand
beaded earrings at a summer craft fair). She loves drawing and
journaling. She began 4-H and has chosen Dog Training as her specialty
area. If all goes well she will be showing the dogs this upcoming spring
& summer

2008 News...
Kendra’s
menagerie continues to grow. She now shares her bedroom with a hamster,
a fish and two rats (yes—rats). She was in her element at the county
fair this past summer where she could see and touch all of the animals.
The bunnies and baby goats were favorites. The pony rides were fun, too.
She’s doing well in the second grade and has lots of charming friends
that she enjoys spending time with. Sleep-overs are a big thing. She is
clever, kind and beautiful….just about perfect. |

Kendra celebrated her 8th birthday by taking a group of friends to our
local animal shelter and donating necessities for the animals there. |

2007 News...
Kendra
continues her love affair with animals. She just has a way with them.
Anything involving animals captures and holds her imagination. She is in
the first grade this year and enjoying it thoroughly. She has
surrounded herself with a gaggle of girlfriends who laugh and play and
share adventures. Just what childhood should be. She is beginning to
truly grasp the written word and that is opening up a whole new world of
discovery to her. What a joy to watch!

News...
Kendra
loves animals. Her favorite pastime is playing with her many toy animals
or snuggling up with her best furry friend “Deacon” (the little Boston Bulldog
mix that we adopted last year). She also loves the outdoors and takes every
opportunity to bundle up in her warm clothes and play in the back yard. With her
vivid imagination she has countless adventures out there. She started full day
kindergarten and is making many new friends and learning a lot. She participated
in a Pee Wee Sports program through the Parks Department over the summer and was
introduced to many sports. Frisbee was her favorite! In the fall she was part of
the Golden Eagles soccer team, coached by her dad and her brother, but she
thought perhaps she’s rather be home playing in the sandbox. She is an
affectionate and inquisitive child and we love seeing her “growing up”.
